CUET has been announced for 2022. It is significant for students as it defines their prospects. NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts the Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET) and has made some alterations to the process and the exam pattern for this year. 

CUET is conducted for admissions under discreet undergraduate, integrated, and postgraduate programs for 45 central universities and 13 institutes and is valuable if you are looking for higher studies under esteemed institutions.

CUET 2022 Eligibility 

Age Limit

There is no age restriction on the candidates appearing for CUET. Though, the candidates are mandated to fulfill the age criteria of the respective universities.  

Thus, candidates are required to verify the age criteria on the respective websites of the desired universities. 

Qualifying Exam

The minimum criteria are: 

The candidates are required to have passed or appeared for higher secondary (12th) or equivalent examination. 

The exam is based on the course and university preferred by the candidate.

 

Education Qualification

Under-Graduation	General: 50% in 12th or equivalent. SC/ST/ OBC:  45% in 12th or equivalent.
Post-Graduation	General: 55% in graduation. SC/ST/ OBC/PWD: 50% in graduation.
Ph.D. Program	General: 55% in the selected discipline. SC/ST/ PWD: 45% in the selected discipline.  OBC: 50% in the selected discipline.

CUET 2022 Exam Pattern 

The test comprises 175 objective-type questions. Applicants need to attempt 140 questions. 

CUET 2022 consists of 4 sections:

Section IA and Section IB: Section IA consists of 13 languages and Section IB consists of 19 languages. The candidates have to select 3 languages from IA and IB combined.

• To be attempted: 40 

Section II: It consists of 27 subjects out of which the candidate has to select and appear for a maximum of 6 subjects. 

• Number of questions: 50 
• To be attempted: 40

Section III: General test 

• Number of questions: 75 
• To be attempted: 60

 

CUET is conducted in 13 languages- Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Urdu, English, Marathi, Punjabi, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, and Assamese. 

 

Application Process 

1. Visit the official website https://cuet.nta.nic.in/  to fill out the application form.
2. Click on ‘Apply Online’ to register for the desired course. 
3. Complete the registration process.
4. The registration process includes data like name, date of birth, valid email and mobile number, and verification code. 
5. The application number and password are generated after the process completion. Log into the website using the details and fill the application form with details such as qualifications, desired program, and address.
6. Upload a clear passport-sized photograph and signature in the space provided.
7. Select the examination centres.
8. Select the university and fill in the course details.
9. Pay the application fees via net banking, credit card, debit card, and SBI challan.
