IBPS PO 2022 is an annual exam conducted by IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) for the posts of Probationary Officers appointed in various public sector banks of the country. IBPS is responsible for providing facilities to all public sector banks like LIC, SBI, RBI, NABARD, LIC, and other Insurance companies and banks which are members of the IBPS.

It is a huge opportunity for candidates and the next 5 months can be a turning point if you study with utmost dedication and sincerity. IBPS PO notification was released in the month of August.

IBPS PO 2022 Eligibility 

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 20 years 
• Maximum age: 30 years 
• The candidates born after 2,10,1991 and before 1,10,2021 are considered for the examination. (Both dates are inclusive). 

Age Relaxation:

The government allows age relaxation to the candidates as per the categories:

IBPS PO 2022 Education Qualifications

Degree:

The IBPS PO 2022 has the eligibility criteria of a graduation degree. The candidates must complete a graduate degree (BA, B.COM, B.Sc, B.Tech, etc.) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Indian government or an equivalent degree recognized by the Central government. 

Computer Knowledge:

The students must possess a working knowledge of computer systems to qualify for IBPS posting. 

Language Proficiency:

The students with the written and verbal knowledge of the official language of the state/UT are desirable during posting. Reading, writing, and speaking proficiency is mandatory in the official language. 

 

IBPS PO 2022 Exam Pattern 

 

The IBPS PO 2022 recruits candidates at the PO (Probationary Officers) and MT (Management Trainees) every year through the Common Recruitment Process. The IBPS PO 2022 consists of 3 prime phases and the students must certify each level for final selection.

 

• Online Preliminary Examination

It is a qualifying exam. The candidates qualifying for the prelims are eligible to sit for the main examinations.

• Mains Examination

IBPS introduced the descriptive test in the main examinations. The time allotted for each section has been changed. The candidates are allotted 180 minutes for the entire examination with 30 minutes extra for the English essay and letter writing test.

• Interview Level 

The interview of IBPS PO 2020 is of 100 marks and the qualifying marks is 40% for general candidates and 35% for SC/OBC/ ST/ PWD candidates. 

• Provision Allotment 

The qualified candidates are allotted to different banks through an official notification on the website. The candidates are selected on the Mains and Interview accumulative scores with a weightage of 80:20.

 

IBPS PO 2022 Application Process

• The eligible candidates must register for IBPS PO 2022 application through online mode on ibps.in. 
• The application portal is available as per the announcement released by the institution. 
• The students must fill out the application form and attach the documents with signatures and photographs to the portal.
• Submit the application fee so the application is provisionally accepted. 
• The students who clear the 3-tier selection process- Preliminary and Mains exams followed by the interview are shortlisted for the final stages of recruitment.
